VistaKEANE Clinicals 4.24 Released

The most visible change in this update to VistaKEANE clinical software is that data folders and windows now are shown in a "tree view," providing fast and logical access to folders, windows, and clients.

Highlights of the enhancements included in VistaKEANE 4.24:

Rehabilitation Therapy
-
A billing feature was added to export therapy information needed for Medicare PPS billing to VistaCARE Accounts Receivable (DOS version) and VistaKEANE Resident Account Management (RAM).

-
In the new pop-up window, 7-day Lookback, you choose a date as the end date, and the software calculates the number of minutes of therapy provided based on the seven days prior to the end date. You can enter different end dates to see which is most appropriate.
Admit Discharge Transfer - ADT
-
A new code has been added to indicate that a client is returning from a temporary leave that spanned over midnight but less than 24 hours.

-
A system check was added to alert you if the onset date entered for an admitting diagnosis is after the admit date.
Resident Assessment
-
To prevent due dates from falling on weekends you can use a new criteria field to move significant dates that fall on a weekend to the preceding Friday.

-
A new feature allows you to save and reuse complex query criteria you specify to print a Resident Analysis report. In a new field, Query Name, you can give the set of criteria a name, such as Diabetes with Pressure Ulcer, save it, and re-use it.
User-Defined Assessments
-
Assessments, forms, and templates created by one facility now can be imported, modified, and used by another facility without additional data entry.
Physician Orders
-
When adding medications to a client's record, you can now select from a shorter list of medications designated as "commonly used." A medication is flagged as commonly used once it has been selected for a client. Medications can also be flagged for the "commonly used" list as a setup option.

-
With another enhancement you can generate a list of commonly-used drugs from the NDC Master.
