KEANE ESTABLISHES MARKET LEADERSHIP IN LONG-TERM AND POST-ACUTE CARE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.

The Healthcare Solutions Division of Keane, Inc. today announced that since its acquisition of Care Computer Systems one year ago, the company has assumed market leadership with its fully integrated financial and clinical software for long-term and post-acute care providers. The acquisition, coupled with continued strong sales activity, has reinforced Keane's position as the largest provider of long-term care (LTC) software solutions. In the past 10 months alone, over 150 additional facilities have contracted to receive Keane's software.

During this time, Keane has renamed its LTC business unit Keane Care, Inc., and its windows-based product line VistaKEANE. The company also recently announced the launch of its Application Service Provider (ASP) delivery method, Keane eHost™, which offers clients offsite, remote processing of the VistaKEANE solution in addition to the traditional onsite installation method.

VistaKEANE includes Resident Account Management, Resident Care Management, and Financial Management, and is designed for both single and multi-facility organizations. It is a proven system that can handle any payor type.

VistaKEANE Resident Account Management includes census, billing, accounts receivable, managed care and trust fund components. It offers end users extensive flexibility in defining resident reimbursement plans and simplifies complex processes such as retroactivity and end-of-month closing. The VistaKEANE Resident Care Management system streamlines client registration, assessments, MDS 2.0, care plans, physician orders and therapy charting. VistaKEANE Financial Management consists of accounts payable, general ledger/budgeting, payroll, materials management, and fixed assets modules.
