KEANE CARE PRESS RELEASES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Keane Care released VistaKEANE Resident Account Management (RAM) 2.3 today to provide our clients with the software they need to submit claims in the HIPAA ANSI 837I electronic format.

RAM Accounts Receivable/Billing has been certified by Claredi for Outbound ANSI 837 Institutional (837I) Healthcare Claims, Version 004010x096A1.

The previous RAM update, released in 2002, included 837I (4010) capability. However, in February 2003 CMS released additional changes. These additional changes (4010A1) are in the RAM 2.3 version that was released today.

Many additional enhancements are included in this update, including a feature that automatically handles Medicare billing according to the "midnight rule" regarding emergency room visits by nursing home residents.

Resident Funds 3.3

This software application tracks resident's incoming and outgoing funds in the residents' trust account.

The 3.3 update included a number of enhancements, for example, the process of inactivating a fund was consolidated into one step in this latest release.
